Mama Cat Trusts Rescuers, Leads Them to Find Her Babies During Hurricane Milton

A TikTok video shows members of a Florida pet rescue, A Better Life, saving a mama cat and her babies from Hurricane Milton. The short clip captures the exact moment rescuers found the feline, who then led them to her newborn litter in an abandoned house located in a flood-prone area. These rescuers, who provided the cat family with safe shelter and food, have since shared updates in a follow-up video.

We got a call about a mom cat left behind when her family moved out. She had been there for weeks and gave birth on their porch. As hurricane milton barrels towards florida we knew we had to act fast to save this little family. It’s heartbreaking seeing her empty bowls and hearing her cries for help. #abetterlifepetrescue #savealife #fyp #hurricanemilton #florida #hurricaneseason #catrescue#animalrescuer#dontleavethembehind #petsarefamily #vacanthouse #momandbabies #kittensoftiktok #rescuecatsoftiktok #animalrescue #fyp #donate #adopt#spayandneuter #foster #evacuate #floodzone #milton #cat5hurricane #prayforflorida #keeppetsinside #safe #rescue #abandonedpets #happyrescue #littlefamily

The TikTok video shows a mama cat trusting a pet rescue‘s volunteers to save her newborn babies from Hurricane Milton in Florida. The caption reveals that her family left her behind when they moved out of the house in the days and weeks leading up to the storm. The cat had been there for weeks and gave birth on the porch. The clip further shows the mother of seven kittens leading rescuers to her babies.

Rescuers had to act promptly to rescue the cat family before Hurricane Milton made landfall. They added in the video that the “mama and her 7 babies are safe” and urged others not to leave their pets behind. The same TikTok user posted a follow-up video to share an update on them.

The second clip shows the rescue cat and her babies safe at the shelter during Hurricane Milton with proper food. The post describes the “long night” when they found her with “100+mph winds, rain, and power outages.” Additionally, it assures that the feline and her babies are “finally safe and completely sheltered from the storm.”

Members of the pet rescue believe that Hurricane Milton “would have likely killed” the rescue cat family had they not saved them. The post further guarantees that the cat and her babies, two girls, and five boys, are “getting all the kisses and pets.” They believe the mama cat is finally “relaxed” and “relieved” after finding a “safe” space with “unlimited food and water.”
