Deaf cat makes ‘happy noises’ when it is time to eat in heartwarming video

Otter, a much-loved deaf cat on Instagram, is again warming hearts with a new video of his “happy noises.” The furbaby has an adorable way of expressing his joy when it’s time to eat. The precious thing was recently captured in a heartwarming video, which has now gone viral and racked up over 4.4 million views. The clip began with Otter enjoying a peaceful nap when, with a gentle stroke, his owner woke him up for his mealtime.

The cute feline then got up with a purring sound and sniffed on his owner’s hand. Later, Otter continued to make more “cutest little happy noises” when he realized it was time to eat. The kitten dived straight into the bowl and enjoyed a hearty meal. Meanwhile, the caption of the Instagram Reel noted there was no music, so the audience could “get the full otter noise experience.”

The owner also shared in the video that since Otter is deaf, they “always feel bad” for “waking him up for meal time when he’s sleeping so peacefully.” Following the candid confession, several fellow cat owners took to the comments section to share their advice. One user suggested, “tip: blowing on a deaf animal is a great way to wake them without scaring them!”

Another wrote, “A tip is to blow gently on them!! My friend has a deaf cat and it helps so much!!” A dog owner further shared that they put their hand near their deaf pup’s nose whenever they want to wake him. The user added, “Apparently our scent is a good way to wake up our deaf babies.”
