In the video, Teddy, aka Tedford, prefers to fall asleep in his mom’s arms. The only problem? Mom has plans and a to-do list tonight that does not involve being a human pillow for Teddy.

In the video, the owner holds her cat in her lap, saying, “As much as I want to be able to just sit on the couch tonight with Tedford and rot, I cannot.” The cat mom added, “I have things I have to get done tonight.” She mentioned that Teddy would choose to sleep there every time if he could. She says, “He usually jumps up to me when he’s ready to sleep, so he just jumped up. I know he’s, yeah, he is very sleepy.”
So, she shows viewers her solution. It involves a blanket wrap that turns Teddy into a tiny burrito on the couch. She says, “He basically just likes to be swaddled.” The cat mom adds, “He’s a big baby,” as she grabs a blanket. She wraps the kitten up and continues, “I don’t tightly swaddle him like a human baby, but he is my little newborn kitten, so he gets swaddled up under like this.”
The result is almost immediate. Teddy’s ears poke out, and his eyes get heavy as his little body sinks into the blanket. The owner ensures he is cozy and says, “He’ll fall asleep just like that. Watch.” By the end, Teddy does fall asleep and looks incredibly comfortable.
