A video capturing the endearing moment of a deaf rescue cat realizing her owner’s homecoming has melted the hearts of many on the internet. The feline’s owner posted the video clip on TikTok under the handle @thewildhope. Since then, the video has gained a lot of positive attention from followers. The layover text on the TikTok video read, “Watch my deaf cat realize I’m home.”
Cat runs to the owner after realizing they are home
A TikTok video of a deaf rescue cat, Mij, running to her owner after realizing they arrived home, has gone viral. In the caption of the clip, the owner wrote, “Straight [up] for cuddles as soon as she knew.”
The video showed the feline taking a rest on the carpet of the stairs while enjoying the warmth of the sunlight. Soon, Mij’s owner entered the house, and the sounds of the door clicking and opening can be heard in the video. The owner’s voice can also be heard.
However, as Mij is deaf, she could not hear any of these sounds. However, when she saw the shadow of her owner reflecting on the carpet in the sunlight, the cat immediately stood up. She then rushed towards her owner to get a sweet cuddle.
A carousel of images posted by the owner on the TikTok account @thewildhope revealed that Mij is a rescue cat. It further disclosed that she is seventeen years of age and can not hear due to old age. The owner proudly explained that her hearing condition does not stop Mij from doing anything she wants.
Another adorable photo of Mij in the carousel revealed all her favorite food items. The list included chicken, tuna fish, and “dads milky tea.” As for favorite toys, Mij loves her “green mowse (mouse)” and a feather tickler. In another image, the owner emotionally expressed that they felt like Mij was the one who had rescued them.
