Video of Mama Cat & Her Litter Settling in Foster Home Is Everything

Every animal deserves a chance at love and safety, and for one feline family, that chance came just in time. Recently, TikTok account @erins_fosters uploaded a video of a mama cat and her kittens cuddling together in their new foster home. This adorable family of felines was saved from the brink of euthanasia and is now thriving under the care of fosterer, Erin Berger.

The cat family was on euthanasia list in a shelter but is now safe in foster home

The cat family was fortunate to find safety with Berger, who took to TikTok to share their story with the world. In her initial post, she expressed gratitude to the organization Rescued Pets Movement for stepping in and saving their lives. “Usually I don’t share my new fosters until they’ve been here for a day or 2, but I couldn’t resist sharing them immediately!” she wrote in the caption.

Since then, Berger has posted several updates on the feline family’s progress. While Kanga initially seemed nervous, she has slowly started adjusting to her new surroundings and the love and care provided by her foster mom. “Kanga and babies are doing well! She is still a bit nervous but I can tell she wants to accept love so badly,” Berger noted in one update. The kittens, whom Berger describes as the “cutest little chunks,” are thriving in the nurturing environment.

The heartwarming video of Kanga and her kittens snuggling has gained nearly 34K likes and 450 comments. One commenter expressed their joy, writing, “She is such a sweet momma, was protective and scared at first but realized so quickly she could trust you and loves you already.” Another user added, “Thank you for saving these cuties! The poor Houston shelters are so overwhelmed with such limited resources! Fostering saves lives!”

Unfortunately, Kanga and her kittens are not alone in their struggle. Across the United States, overcrowded shelters lead to the heartbreaking reality of animal euthanasia. As such, animal advocates urge the public to adopt from shelters instead of buying from breeders, giving more animals a chance at a loving home. Additionally, spaying and neutering plays a crucial role in controlling the pet population and preventing more animals from ending up in shelters.
