It captures the moment her once-wary rescue cat, KitKat, finally lets her guard down and shows affection for the first time.

In the video, Hannah is gently petting the rescue cat, while KitKat — who had avoided any physical contact until now — finally allows herself to enjoy the affection. Hannah shared in the video’s caption that after months of patience and slow progress, KitKat had finally started to trust her. She described how the once-distant cat now showed affection by nudging her with head bumps, brushing up against her, and even allowing gentle touches on her head and face.
The transformation did not happen overnight, though. In a previous video posted on February 10, Hannah shared the rescue cat’s story with her followers. The feline had first appeared outside their home about two months earlier, just as winter was setting in. She was completely feral — hissing, running away, and refusing to let anyone near her.
Yet, despite her fear, she was curious and often watched the family from a distance. Over time, Hannah and her family made efforts to slowly earn KitKat’s trust, leaving food out for her, setting up a shelter, and even giving her a warm place to sleep with a heating pad.
Gradually, the feline began to spend more time near the family, coming inside for brief moments, and eventually eating her meals inside. The breakthrough moment when KitKat finally allowed herself to be petted and bumped heads with Hannah was a significant milestone in their ongoing journey of trust.
