You might not expect a Great Pyrenees puppy and an orange cat to have much in common, but these two seem to have figured things out. Bubbles and Catsby have formed an adorable friendship, despite their obvious differences in size and personality. In a recent video, their interaction begins with affection and grooming before Catsby eventually decides he has had enough.
Great Pyrenees puppy shows off her huge personality with a new friend
Bubbles, the Great Pyrenees, and Catsby, the orange cat, may seem like an unlikely duo, but the pair have clearly formed a special bond. A video shared by @bubblesthepyr on Instagram captures their adorable friendship as the unlikely companions cuddle and relax together on a couch.
The clip starts with Bubbles and Catsby lying beside each other, looking perfectly at ease. Bubbles, however, appears to want more than simply sharing the couch. The puppy starts pawing at her feline brother, seemingly trying to get his attention and encourage him to interact with her.
Catsby responds in a way that suggests he is more than happy to entertain her, at least for a little while. He begins licking and grooming Bubbles’ face, giving the giant puppy a surprisingly gentle display of affection. Despite being much smaller than her, Catsby seems completely comfortable taking care of his canine companion.
But like many cats, Catsby seems to have a limit when it comes to prolonged affection. After spending some time grooming Bubbles, he starts bunny kicking at her, seemingly telling the puppy that the cuddling session has gone on long enough. Bubbles’ attempt to get attention ends with her feline friend deciding when the interaction is over.
The video was captioned, “They’re just so cute,” and viewers were quick to share their reactions to the unusual friendship. One person commented, “I wish mine would do that,” expressing hope that their own pets might form a similarly sweet bond. Another viewer jokingly turned the scene into a grooming appointment, writing, “Get to work orange kitty…. someone has arrived for their grooming appointment.”
