Stuck Kitten Saved in a Dramatic Rescue Mission That Required Power Tools

In a recent heartwarming update, a team of firefighters rescued a little kitten after they were stuck in a dumpster. On November 18, the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital shared the story on its Facebook page. Since then, the news has received a lot of attention online, with people expressing relief over the fur baby’s rescue.

Cat stuck in dumpster rescued by firefighters

Last week, a group of firefighters from the Poudre Fire Authority saved an adorable small kitten. The Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, who also helped in the rescue mission, shared the story on Facebook. The post began on a moral note, stating, “A little teamwork went a long way on Friday!”

It informed that the little cat got stuck in a dumpster when they accidentally trapped their tiny head in a hole while trying to get out of it. To save the kitten, firefighters from the Poudre Fire Authority were called to the location. However, the rescue mission needed a carefully thought out plan. It also required a highly skilled usage of powerful tools as the sturdy material and the solid fit of the dumpster made it quite hard to break in.

The Facebook post then revealed that Dr. Amanda Cavanagh gave the anxious feline a sedative to make them feel relaxed. In the meantime, the firefighters “carefully used heavy machinery to bring the kitten to safety.”

The Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital also gave an update on the kitty’s health, writing they are now safe as the rescue mission was “successful.” The brave rescue cat is currently in “good hands” and is recovering in an animal shelter, NOCO Humane. The hospital’s page further expressed its gratitude towards the veteran emergency rescuers for putting their effort into saving the little fur baby’s life and bringing them to safety.
