Taylor Swift’s Cat ‘Benjamin Button’ Looks on as She Puts Out Fire

On June 21, singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams shared two videos on her social media account. One of the videos showed Taylor Swift putting out a house fire while her confused cat looked on. It was a small fire in one of her New York City homes, with the artists joking around as Swift struggled to operate the fire extinguisher.

The “Fortnight” singer extinguished a fire in her New York City home, which Gracie Abrams went on to share on her social media account on X — formerly known as Twitter. Fortunately, it wasn’t a major fire, and the two singers laughed it off. However, what made the situation even more funny was Taylor Swift’s cat walking into the room to investigate the cause of the chaos as she tried putting out the house fire.

The video began with Swift trying her best to operate the fire extinguisher but being unable to do so. She then jokingly exclaimed that she believed they were going to die, to which Abrams replied that they wouldn’t. After some more struggle, the “Cruel Summer” singer was able to squeeze the operating lever to put out the fire.

While the singers were discussing the damage done and how Taylor Swift managed to ruin her purses, shoes, and also the room, her cat walked in to check out the fire. In the video shared by Abrams, Benjamin Button stands in the doorway and looks at what his human is up to. The confused feline could be seen craning his neck to investigate the situation better.

Benjamin is a beautiful Ragdoll cat and one of Swift’s three beloved pets. He previously starred alongside the singer-songwriter in her Person of the Year shoot for Time. According to People, the feline has been with Taylor Swift since 2019, and he first met her on the set of her “Me!” music video.
