Larry the Cat Reacts to UK PM Keir Starmer’s Photo With New Siberian Cat

Keir Starmer, the prime minister of the United Kingdom, has welcomed an adorable Siberian cat to his family. In early September, the cute kitten joined the famous Larry the Cat, who has been Chief Mouser to 10 Downing Street’s Cabinet Office since 2011.

On Sept. 22, a photo of Starmer with his new feline, Prince, was posted on X (formerly Twitter). Larry the Cat, known for leaving witty comments under political and news posts, reacted humorously to the photo, exclaiming that he still remains the best-looking feline on Downing Street.

Larry the Cat continues to remain sassy with his responses, and his recent reaction to the U.K. prime minister with his new cat is proof of that. The famous Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office at 10 Downing Street affirmed his position at Downing Street through his humous response. In a recent X post, featuring a photograph of Keir Starmer with the Siberian kitten, Larry the Cat boasted about himself, writing, “My position as best looking cat on Downing Street remains unchallenged.”

However, this is not the first time Larry the Cat, who boasts over 905K followers on X, has poked fun at the white Siberian kitten’s cuteness. Previously, he reposted a photo of him and tweeted, “Still cuter than any kitten!”

The latest picture showed the prime minister sitting at his desk with Prince. The white cat put his adorable little paws on paperwork as he looked at the camera. Moreover, Keir Starmer looked happy seeing the feline posing for the photograph.

After several negotiations, Starmer and his family welcomed Prince, the kitten in the place of a German Shepherd. Besides Larry the Cat, the kitten shares space with Starmer’s other rescue cat, Jojo.
