The incident took place in Longview, Washington, where Mittens found herself stranded atop a fir tree. For three long chilly nights, she endured the elements, with her desperate meows echoing through the neighborhood. Fortunately, the specialized team from Canopy Cat Rescue was on hand to assist.
Tom, a member of the Canopy Cat Rescue team, responded to the call and managed to bring Mittens down from the tree safely. The video of the rescue was shared on Instagram, where we get a glimpse of Mittens perched happily on Tom’s shoulder, clearly appreciative of his efforts. “Apparently she’s a shoulder cat,” the caption under the post read. “We’re so happy to help get this little girl down.”
