Not all cats are water babies, but they can become one if they have a good “boat” to rely on. A cat named Peach went viral for rating her boats, which helped her stay afloat on the water in the bathtub. The feline tried out a variety of boats but had some clear favorites and ones she least preferred.
Peach on a boat seems to be a fan favorite, given the owner’s social media page is filled with the cat peacefully enjoying the vibe with her furry sibling Pablo accompanying her from time to time.
Cat rates her numerous ‘boats’ in viral video
Given Peach’s love for boats, it’s not fair to provide her with just one. In a viral video taken in early March, the owner, Holly Fairbrass, gave the cat several different options to choose from. Peach’s expressions determined her favorite boat — a plastic boat that held her weight and size (almost). This boat was also comfortable for the feline to squeeze in and enjoy the calmness and fun the soapy bubbles in the bathtub offered.
Peach rated her favorite boat a 10/10, which is not a surprise. The owner also revealed that this boat “made her fall in love with the water.” Now that the cat is growing, the boat might just be a tad too small for her to fit. But she managed to curl up, leaving only her wavy tail exposed. The second option, a “Nemo boat,” wasn’t nearly as comfortable as the plastic boat.
The Nemo boat was seemingly cushiony, with Nemo the fish’s face printed on the fabric. This boat was “good for staying afloat” but wasn’t a good fit for kitty with claws. So Peach rationally rated it a 7/10.
The third option, according to the owner, “was a disaster from the beginning.” Peach tore up the plastic on the “Cling Film boat” to eat it. Given Peach’s wobbly and wriggly nature, the boat wasn’t stable enough to hold her in the water. The cat gave it a 2/10, making it the least desirable boat.
The final “Dual Pool boat” came second with a 9/10 marker as it offered no complications. In the end, Peach decided to stay loyal to her plastic boat for a little longer. As of this writing, the video has over 1.6 million views.
