The pet blogging community has spoken.
Finalists for the 2013 Petties, DogTime and CatTime’s annual awards recognizing the best pet bloggers, have been revealed! Voting is now open in each of 10 categories, so cast your ballot once a day, every day, now through July 31.
Did we mention each category winner gets $1,000 to donate to the non-profit 501c3 shelter or rescue of choice?
New for 2013 is the Best Pet Video Award. Throughout the year, DogTime and CatTime have sponsored themed contests for the most entertaining dog and cat videos from pet owners; now, viewers can have their say and cast ballots these top offerings (nominated videos will be aired during the awards presentation).
Other new categories include Best Active Living (promoting a healthy lifestyle for you and your pet) and Best Pet Mobile App.
Back by popular demand is the Unsung Hero Award. Do you know a dedicated individual who works at a shelter or rescue and deserves to be recognized for his or her commitment to animal welfare? The winner chooses which non-profit 501c3 shelter or rescue receives a $10,000 prize.
That’s right, $10,000.
Now through July 31, you can nominate that person for the Unsung Hero Award (you need only nominate once). An elite panel selects the winner who in turn chooses a shelter or rescue to receive the $10,000 donation.
