A foster dad recently shared an adorable video on Instagram documenting his kittens following him like little ducklings. Fans loved the cute clip, calling the cat dad the “Pied Piper of felines.” Many also found it funny that while most kitties tend to imprint on a fellow cat, these foster kittens imprinted on their human instead.
Video shows rescued kittens following foster dad like ducklings
Foster dad Abdul recently took to Instagram to flaunt his “Pied Piper” skills. He recorded himself with an entourage of five kittens following him one by one as he stepped out of a room. In the post, he claimed that the felines do this no matter where he goes. Similar to ducklings following their mama, the kitties zoom across the room to keep up with their dad. The short clip ends with Abdul showing off two of his foster kittens, an orange and a regular tabby.
Netizens couldn’t help but notice that the little ones completely ignored Bambi the cat, who is the “manner-queen” of the organization. According to their website, the feline is responsible for teaching the foster kittens to adjust well and come to enjoy indoor life. However, in the video, Bambi could be seen jumping out of frame in the beginning and the kittens followed their foster dad instead.
Abdul’s Cats is a small organization that fosters felines to get them ready for adoption. The team consists of Abdul and Shamiyan. Abdul is the manager taking care of everything cats, and Shamiyan tackles the social media and adoption side of things. It all started when Bambi, who was fostered herself, was rescued from a high-kill shelter.
She suffered from anxiety and was constantly hiding. However, the power of love transformed her and she now lives a comfy life. Seeing her dramatic transformation encouraged Abdul and Shamiyan to continue providing more felines a second chance at life. As per their website, they have helped find forever homes for more than 50 cats as of now.
