A cat named Milo has become the latest feline to charm the internet, thanks to a now-viral video that his owner, and Instagram user @mr.milothechonk, shared. In the video, the tabby Domestic Shorthair reveals a strict bedtime policy of his own making: his “butler,” as his owner jokingly calls herself, must be upstairs and in bed by 11 p.m. sharp. Otherwise, Milo simply will not settle.

The video begins with the clingy cat pacing anxiously along the edge of the bed, casting glances toward the doorway as he waits for his owner to come to bed. Meanwhile, the on-screen text explains, “Milo has gotten even stricter about me (his butler) being in bed at 11 pm.” At 11:10 p.m., with his owner still downstairs, the tabby sits at the edge of the bed and meows insistently. Another caption reads, “Milo will sit like this staring at the door waiting for me to come in.”
His other owner tries to soothe him, but Milo won’t have it. The cat soon plops onto the floor, growing even more impatient before marching to the door and crying loudly. He stops a moment “to see if he can hear me coming,” and then continues meowing. Once the “butler” finally arrives, Milo’s entire demeanor shifts, rolling onto his back, all excited and thrilled that his nightly routine can finally continue.
Additionally, the cat parent shares how Milo waits just outside the bathroom door while his owner prepares for bed. Only after his human fully settles does Milo climb onto the bed for his goodnight pets, curl up, and finally drift off.
