An orange cat named Tofu has decided that bedtime is a team activity, and his owner’s Instagram video shows just how serious he is about it. Instagram user @littlebeanfirmtofu posted the video, following Tofu as he waits for his owner to finish everything she is doing so they can finally head to bed together. The orange tabby meows but waits patiently, because he won’t go to bed without his human with him.

The adorable video starts in the kitchen, where the cat stands right in the doorway, meowing, probably trying to convince his owner to move things along. And judging by the on-screen caption, “Another day of Tofu waiting for me to finish my day so we can go to bed together,” he looks like he has been through this routine many times.
As soon as the owner is done, Tofu turns and bolts down the hallway. It’s dark, but you can see what his owner calls his “happy tail” bouncing as he hurries toward the bedroom. In the comments, she added, “His little legs when he’s running,” which viewers did pick up on, because his run really is the highlight.
In the next shot, Tofu is already on the bed, sitting right in the middle of the blankets, while the owner finishes getting ready. An on-screen text explains that the cat is “waiting for me while I get ready for bed,” and there he is — just staring at her like he won’t close his eyes until she is finally under the covers too.
Viewers lost it over Tofu’s dedication.
