Rescue Cat Watches Every Visitor Pass Him by & Starts Wondering Why Nobody Chooses Her

It is difficult for felines to wait for someone to adopt them. Every day, these fur babies hope for someone to take them, only to become disappointed. A recent post on social media has captured a similar situation involving a Domestic Shorthair named Teletubbie.

The video shows the rescue cat not being chosen for adoption by visitors, despite having stayed in the cattery for months. A user named @strongheartscats took to their Instagram to share this heartbreaking story. The page appeals for the rescue and adoption of innocent felines.

‘Shy’ rescue cat hides in a corner waiting for visitors to choose her, but slowly becomes invisible.

In the video, the rescue cat Teletubbie is ignored by visitors despite staying the longest in care. The Domestic Short Hair has been one of the longest residents at the cattery. She has stayed in her little enclosure for over 120 days and has watched her friends arrive and be chosen for forever homes.

However, Teletubbie stays behind as she keeps getting ignored. Every day, hundreds of people enter the cattery and come to the feline’s enclosure.

However, they seem to miss that she was there at all. This is because the rescue cat doesn’t put herself out due to her shy and quiet behavior. The caption notes that Teletubbie “isn’t the kitten climbing into your lap before you’ve even sat down.

She won’t demand your attention or fight to be noticed.” The feline only waits in her little corner, where she doesn’t hide but is invisible. However, she craves love and needs time to open up to someone.

The Domestic Short Hair tends to come out if someone sits beside her, speaks softly, offers her gentle pats, and assures her they are not leaving her alone. With this gentle behavior, Teletubbie tends to lower her guard, and one sees the sweet girl underneath.

The shy cat is waiting for someone who desires to be closer to her. The video appeals for the adoption of the cat and hopes Teletubbie will find the big-hearted person who understands quiet cats.

If anyone wants to meet her, they can catch her this Saturday in a meet-and-greet at 120 Regent Street, Preston | Strong Hearts Cattery.
