Most cats like having their own routines, favorite spots, and personal space. Sharing is not always high on their list of priorities, especially when it comes to naps, attention, or window-watching duties. Still, there are exceptions, and some feline friendships become impossible to separate. A video posted by @leoandkyro shows one younger cat taking that attachment to hilarious new levels by following his older furry sibling everywhere.
Cat loves his job of being furry sibling’s adorable companion
The video, posted by @leoandkyro, follows the pair through a series of everyday moments that show just how attached the younger cat, Kyro, is to his older companion, Leo. Text written across the clip reads, “When the companion you got for your cat takes his role way too seriously.”
Throughout the video, Kyro can be seen mirroring nearly everything Leo does. One scene shows both cats standing side by side at the litter box, while another captures them drinking water together at the exact same moment. Even their nap schedules appear perfectly aligned, with the pair curled up next to each other during rest time.
The companionship does not stop there. Another moment shows both cats sitting together on their owner’s lap, seemingly unwilling to be apart for long. They are also filmed “loafing” side by side in the living room, maintaining matching poses while relaxing around the house.
One of the most amusing parts of the clip comes when the cats begin birdwatching together by the window. As they focus on something outside, both tails sway from side to side in near-perfect synchronization. Grooming and playtime also appear to happen on the same schedule, reinforcing the idea that Kyro closely follows Leo through nearly every activity.
In the caption, their owner summed up the relationship simply by writing, “Kyro is Leo’s shadow.” Viewers quickly filled the comments section with jokes and observations about the pair’s bond. One person joked, “Obviously a student in training. Full Cat Certification pending.” Another wrote, “Synchronisation at its best!” while someone else described the relationship as having an “‘I know he is behind me’ vibe.”
Many cat owners also related to the behavior. “My younger cat shadows the older one. It’s like they want to know what they’re up to at all times.”
