Blueclaws Baseball Team Welcomes Cats To Caturday Game

This Saturday July 9th 2016 is Caturday with the Lakewood New Jersey Blueclaws Baseball team!

The Lakewood BlueClaws baseball team is the minor league affiliate of the Phillies and they decided to have a “Caturday” theme game day and we couldn’t be more excited. The BlueClaws have made this amazing jerseys covered in cats. They will be auctioning a few off at the game to raise money for cat charities.

Since the BlueClaws worship the cat they are celebrating by encouraging fans to bring their pet cats to the game this Caturday July 9th. The only caveat was that you buy your cat a $2 Paw Pass, that your cat be on a leash or in a crate, and there will of course be a waver to sign.

Those donations will go to a cat rescued called SAVE Rescue Shelter of Toms River and the rescue will be on hand at the Caturday game collecting the donations and showing available cats for adoption, so if you don’t have a cat to bring to the game, you could get one there.

According to their website: “There will be songs, movie clips, promotions, memes, and more fun as well! There will be a special rendition of Take MEOW Out to the Ballgame, and a special CATurday T-Shirt will be available in the Claws Cove.”

So if you’re in the New Jersey area, keep an eye out for the next Caturday game day!
