Jenna Bush Hager’s Family Welcomes New Kitten

TV host Jenna Bush Hager has welcomed a new furry member into her family. Last week, in an episode of “Today with Hoda & Jenna,” Bush Hager revealed she and her husband, Henry Hager, gifted their daughter, Poppy, a new kitten for Christmas, according to Today. The feline joins the Hager family’s first cat, Hollywood, who was adopted a year ago.

Jenna Bush Hager’s kitten has a unique name

During the episode, Bush Hager revealed Poppy named the kitten Mr. Mango Mellow. She shared that the feline’s second name comes from his “mellow” nature and resemblance to a marshmallow. However, the “Today” star did not have an explanation for the cat’s first name. “I didn’t name him. He’s Poppy’s. I can’t go inside that brilliant brain,” she said.

When co-host Hoda Kotb asked her if Mellow is getting along with Hollywood, Bush Hager replied, “Holly is happy to have a baby brother.” She further added that the two felines were spotted spooning together.

Bush Hager later took to Instagram to share pictures of the kitten posing with her and Poppy. Thousands of fans reacted to the post, with many expressing their love for the feline.

Speaking about her love for cats, the TV host added, “As a little girl, I loved cats so much. They were the forbidden fruit ’cause I was highly allergic.”
