Austrian firefighters disassemble car, save kitten

Vienna full of wieners? I think not.

Residents in Austria’s capital city awoke to the sounds of mewing, only to find a kitten trapped under the hood of a parked car. Witnesses assumed lifting the hood to free the kitten would be the end of the matter.

Not so.

The animal fled and quickly took refuge in another vehicle, this one a police cruiser. Firefighters worked for half an hour dismantling the car to finally liberate the kitten from a tight space in the floor panel. The cagey kitty was eventually taken to an animal shelter.

I presume she rode up front in the passenger seat.
