5 Ways Cats Are Celebrating Hanukkah

Hanukkah kicks off on December 10th in 2020 and lasts for eight nights. Recently we’ve been noticing that cats seem intent on getting in on the Jewish observance.

Hanukkah is certainly a time to spend with family, and our furry family members are no exception.

Let’s round up all the ways “Hanu-cats” are celebrating Hanukkah!

1. Sport Your Hanukkah Hat

In fact, the big ginger tom cat is so smitten with the occasion that he’s taking to meowing out loud about it.

2. Put On Your Dreidel Bow Tie

3. Guard The Menorah

The pensive look on the cat’s face lets you know that he takes his Hanu-cat duties very seriously, indeed.

4. Spin That Cat Toy Dreidel

A cat toy fashioned as a dreidel is this year’s most appropriate way to introduce some sport into the holiday, and it makes for an ideal feline gift.

5. Sing Along To ‘Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah’

Finally, are you familiar with the festive song “Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah?” It’s a traditional children’s ditty that includes lyrics referencing dreidels, candles, and latkes.

Better yet, thanks to the wonders of YouTube, you can now enjoy a version of the song that features approximately a zillion cats celebrating the holiday.
